This Weekend's House Purchases

Not many weekend's (or weekdays really) go by without some sort of purchase being made for the house. I used to spend nearly my entirely monthly salary on clothes, now I'm lucky to by a dress once every 6 months!

Anyhow this weekend we headed into Manchester City Centre (probably not the best choice of days as there was some sort of riot happening...) and picked up a few bits a pieces:

A close-up of the fabric
So from left to right:

1. 3 different types of fabric 1/2 a meter of each, which i got from my favourite craft/fabric shop Abakhan's.  They were 1/2 price in the sale and i have a project planned for these guys...

2. Some garden twine- i actually got two balls packets but i have temporarily misplaced the other...They were only 65p from Wilkinson's each - much less than you would pay in a craft shop and I intend to use it with the fabric for a project

3. Some white spray paint this was on offer in my local discounted German supermarket (I AM NOT an impulse buyer!) I can't wait to start spraying things...starting with:

4.Yes that would be yet ANOTHER photo frame, but it was in the sale and only cost £1 so it would have been rude not to! You may remember last week I bought a few frames on our monthly pay-day Ikea trip (more on that here) and actually i have a secret stash under the wardrobe in the guest room/office which  will all be used at some point in a project i have planned! My penchant is for white frames so aforementioned white spray paint will get its debut here!

Wilkinson's has a big gardening section at the moment- must be gardening season or something?? So Max also got some gardening trimmer things (look like big scissors...) and I have never seen anyone so excited about a gardening tool! We also picked up these hooks which are for hanging tools up in the shed but I thought they would be perfect for hanging the ironing board up in the newly-renovated cupboard!

5 for £1 bargain :)
